Two City of Atlanta police officers were injured Tuesday night when they were involved in motorcycle collisions while in the line of duty. The first wreck occurred when the officer collided with a silver SUV that turned in front of him. He was traveling to Philips Arena to direct traffic when the collision occurrred. The officer was ejected from his motorcycle and broke his leg. The second officer was struck by a minivan while responding to the first officer's wreck. Luckily, the second officer did not suffer any broken bones.
Clearly, both officers each have a cause of action against the at-fault party who caused each collision. It appears that they may both have workers' compensation claims as well. Attorney Bobby Johnson has experience handling personal injury claims, workers' compensation claims and cases where both claims arise.
